Just one beer
Shaping up to be another long cold night. Heading home late with the windows down letting the cool night air caress my face.Felt slightly missed, but somewhat unwelcome so I started on my way. Driving slowly down the deserted boulevard, I felt lonliness creep in through the windglass. I didn't feel like coming back to the silence of home just yet, so I stopped by a little bar.for a quick cold beer and the drunken atmosphere. The beer was a rich cold amber, but the scenes were way to counrty, with one drunk redneck after another, belly up to the microphone of a kareoke machine, belting out one drunk ballad with tone deaf pitch and the inebriated style.I sat quietly in the back, tuning out the drunken croaks and enjoy my beer when the smell of alcohol nicotine and bad breath became too much, so outside I strolled, leaning up against the stop sign, lighting up a Pall Mall and listening to the drunks saying their drunken goodbyes. "Are you alright to drive, cuz I'm not!" "Which way are you goin? I want to get to Jerrys' place before it gets too late." "Can somebody drop me off at my place? I just want to sleep in my bed, and not yours, or yours!!" I threw my spent cigarette to the curb and watched 10 people pile into a little pickup truck. I told them to be careful, and they told me do the same. I guess alcohol brings out the christmas spirit in us all. So I started my drive home, watching the deer lined up along the road, like they were watching the one am parade. Just as the road was opening up to a clearing, the trees spit out a massive fog, as if to cover some horror, but nothing, just trying to hide the same old road on another lonely night.I made it home just fine, and I told the old buick goodnight, and she wished me the same in her sputtering carburated voice.

So now here I sit, restlessly, rambling away as the clock ticks away to the quarter past two waltz, creeping through another long cold lone night.

quarter til 5

Twenty minutes since closing and five minutes til reopening, so little to do and so much time to do it. Another long cold night running headlong for a cold new dawn. A deafening silence fills the chilly night air, making the insomnia just slightly more undesireable. But hey, pull up a chair, your always welcome here. Drop by, say hi, just just plan to stay awhile. The food is terrible, and the drinks wont get you drunk, but the atmosphere we have is just what you want. So come on, dont be shy, we are doing the same, just watching the quiet lone night turn into the unwelcome, loud tired new day.

long night

Yup.

Nothing to do, so figured I should post something on here.Been a low tide these past couple of days, nothing really special to write about. The grudge 2 sucked, big freakin'surprise there.spent the better parts or the past few days at the junk shop or nowhere special, got some new stuff for the asian collection. I probably have too much as it is. As usual, I have no Idea whats going on with anything, but no surprise there either, just wish I did.

Been sick, always a fun time when your by yourself. I think thats when you feel most alone, sitting in the hospital, wanting so desperately for a familiar face, saying something, anything to keep you company. At least I had me, nobody I wanted was available.

Got the bass system in the Buick now, its sounds the better in this car by far. Not alot bass listening to Tom Waits though. But there is always other music.well, I'll let you all get back to what you were doing, if there is anyone actually reading this. Have fun.

well, its only been forever since I updated this old thing. things are going as well as can be for now. I have a game cube, I think i was among the last people to want one, and i'm cleaning out my movie library and building up a game collection. there is only so many times you can watch a dvd over, and besides, I have a large vhs library to choose from, and no, no cartoons were released. I'll start buying movies again soon, beef the set back up. god i need cable. The Buich has been in and out of intensive care, leaks, tuning and re tuning, carb rebuiling and tuning, and its running smoothly, I hope to have it pretty nice by summer .Been bummed as of late, my uncle has cancer, and its moving its way around. I haven't seen him in about ten years, but we would talk on the phone. I hope he pulls through, hes a strong man. but other than that, things are well, have a cat, shes goofy but we love her. she chases after the iguana, and its fun to watch.

havent drank in almost 3 months, doing good there. thats it for now.....................
